Job summary

Ocean Ridge Post Acute seeks an experienced cook to manage kitchen operations in a hospital-style dietary setting. You will work under the Dietary Supervisor to ensure safe, sanitary preparation of meals and accurate adherence to menus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
• Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides; prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures for meals; prepare pureed foods and support cooperation with other departments.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
