Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a Cook for St Joseph Medical Center in Houston, TX. The role runs 5:00am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday with every other weekend as part of a full-time schedule.

You will prepare nutritious meals for patients and staff, adhering to dietary guidelines and recipes while maintaining safety and sanitation standards. Ideal candidates have healthcare or institutional cooking experience, with a minimum of one year scratch cooking preferred, strong food safety knowledge,

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in healthcare, restaurant, or institutional setting preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of scratch cook experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans accurately.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, ensuring quality and dietary requirements.
• Assist with meal plating and presentation to be visually appealing.
• Store leftovers with proper labeling and timeframes.
• Inventory food items as assigned.
• Maintain clean, safe kitchen area following HACCP guidelines.
• Communicate food quality, availability, and equipment status to management.
