Job summary

Quail Run Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals for patients and staff according to approved menus and production sheets. You will open/close the kitchen, follow cleaning schedules, and ensure a clean dining and work area while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires at least two years of quantity cooking experience, knowledge of modified diets, and food handling certification.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in quantity cooking preferred and knowledge of modified diets.
• Food service sanitation training or certification.
• Food handler’s permit required.
• Experience with industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; some kitchen supervisory experience preferred.
• Handle With Care and BLS for Providers training provided at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the kitchen and maintain organization of daily events.
• Prepare meals and beverages according to menu and production sheets.
• Document refrigerator and dish machine temperatures; report equipment issues.
• Assist with washing dishes and keep the dish room clean and orderly.
