Job summary

Forefront is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare meals in alignment with current health and safety standards and facility policies. You will assist in all food preparation tasks, follow standardized recipes, and help deliver meals to residents, with responsibility for quality and safety throughout service.

The role requires monitoring temperatures, completing production and waste logs, and adhering to sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follows standardized recipes, portioning, menu extensions, and presentation standards.
• Completes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Tastes meals to ensure quality standards.
• Monitor food temperatures to meet established goals during service.
• Supervise and assist in storage of supplies and food products.
• Notify Chef Manager or Director of needs and issues.
• Report equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and audits.
• Attend department meetings and pursue required certifications/licenses.
