Job summary

WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a Cook/Dietary Worker to prepare foods for patients, staff and guests, maintaining quality, sanitation and portion control while ensuring timely service. The role supports a team-oriented kitchen environment and may involve dietetic assistant duties as needed.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining safety standards, stocking, communicating with servers, and assisting with various dietary tasks.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler card or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One year cooking experience.
• PIC training provided through County Health Department.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sanitation and safety in production areas.
• Sets up bars and lines for service.
• Restocks and cleans as required; completes cleaning tasks.
• Prepares food items in batch production following recipes and portions.
• Stores and labels leftovers per Health Department rules.
• Se rves customers and communicates with servers to prevent run-outs.
• Notifies management of equipment malfunctions.
• May be asked to work duties of dietetic assistant or lead.
