Job summary

Banner North Colorado Medical Center is seeking a Cook to prepare hot and cold foods for patients and staff, following production sheets and daily schedules. Prior grill cook experience is a plus, and the role requires flexibility with varied shifts and weekend/holiday rotations.

The position emphasizes adherence to recipes, proper food handling, and maintaining clean, organized workspaces while supporting other kitchen and dietary staff as needed.

Qualifications

• One or more years of work experience in production cooking.
• Must obtain/maintain food handlers' card within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to perform simple math calculations.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures for handling chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold food items using standardized recipes and production forecasts.
• May work in retail cafe grill area or cook breakfast items.
• Record over production and run outs; log temperatures and report issues.
• Maintain par levels and rotate stock; ensure freshness and sanitation.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and assist other kitchen staff as needed.
