Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare meals for patients, families and staff across Room Service, Catering or the Café. You will follow recipes, manage temperatures, and ensure safe handling of all food items in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will work under the supervision of a Sous Chef or Executive Chef, participate in daily kitchen tasks, and contribute to a high standard of customer service for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Three years of relevant work experience in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks a variety of hot and/or cold food items for meal service.
• Rotates perishable items and verifies temperatures; labels products with expiration dates.
• Maintains a clean workstation and adheres to sanitation standards.
• Provides high level of customer service to team members, patients and visitors.
• Assists with shift coverage as required; works under supervision of a Sous Chef.
