Job summary

Sodexo at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia is seeking a Cook I to prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold items across all meal periods. You’ll ensure quality, safety, and sanitation while maintaining a clean, organized workstation in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
0 to 2 years of related work experience.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

Prepare food in accordance with current standards and guidelines to ensure high-quality service.
Follow recipes and directions for cooking, seasoning, and serving a variety of dishes.
Estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production.
Significant walking or mobility required during shifts.
Walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes exceeding 8 hours.
Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Perform repetitive motions as part of daily tasks.
Attend work on time and adhere to scheduled shifts.
