Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking an IT Support Technician to answer calls from physicians, directors, and hospital staff, build and replace workstations, install software, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.

You will assist with workstation moves, respond quickly to user requests, and ensure compliance with IT standards across clinics and hospital locations. Associates or a Bachelor’s are preferred; A+ certification or willingness to obtain it soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• A+ Certification or willingness to obtain certification soon after hire.
• Very computer literate and capable of learning IT support tasks.
• Strong technical writing skills and fluent English.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Hospital IT experience is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate clearly with physicians and staff in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls from physicians, directors, and hospital staff.
• Help with training new IT Support Technicians.
• Manage Active Directory, DHCP, Print Management.
• Build new workstations and replace/update workstations.
• Install software and applications and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Assist with workstation moves and new setups.
• Respond promptly to users to resolve issues with minimal impact.
• Inspect hardware in clinics and hospital locations to maintain IT standards.
