Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking an Inventory Specialist to assist with managing inventoried assets across supply areas, including operating room case carts. You will handle physical stock, data entry, and use automated systems to maintain accurate counts and PAR levels.

Under supervision, you will support replenishment, stock verification, and coordination with the supply manager to ensure compliant storage and timely availability of supplies, including access to medication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of work experience performing medical order entry and/or exposure to medical products preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate inventory of managed assets to meet customer needs.
• Utilize automated systems to communicate replenishment requirements to suppliers.
• Routinely review on-hand balances to adjust PAR level or reorder quantities.
• Prepare/complet e reports to communicate asset shortages.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and data entry into automated systems.
• Assist with storage and organization of assets and ensure proper placement within storage locations.
