Job summary

University Hospitals in Ohio seeks a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to maintain the perpetual inventory system and safeguard inventory values. You will coordinate cycle counts, annual physical inventories, and review MMIS reporting to implement solid control procedures for additions, deletions, and changes.

You will design processes to prevent shortages or surpluses, reduce obsolete stock, and ensure compliance with PHI requirements and UH policies.

Qualifications

• Maintain the perpetual inventory system and control inventory values.
• Coordinate inventory management practices, including cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
• Review decision support reporting from MMIS and develop control procedures for inventory additions, deletions and changes.
• Design and review processes to eliminate stock shortages and surpluses.
• Develop and implement practices to reduce obsolete or unwanted inventory.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
