UT Health San Antonio in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support vascular, nonvascular, and interventional procedures in a hospital setting. On-call duties and rotation are required.
Responsibilities include quality control, operating IR systems, and coordination of procedures, with emphasis on patient safety, documentation, and coordination with radiologists and staff.
The Interventional Radiology Technologist completes work in all areas of IR, sterile technique, product allocation, positioning, procedure preparation, and technical factors associated with the IR systems. Performs specialized technical skills in vascular, nonvascular, and interventional procedures. The work will require on-call hours (being on-call and getting called in) in a hospital setting. Works under the general supervision of a Radiologist and completes work in accordance with established protocols. Functions as an educator and role model for less-tenured team members.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience of IR Tech or Radiology in a high-volume acute care setting is required. Hospital experience preferred.
