Under supervision, performs a variety of complex radiology examinations, imaging procedures/treatment, interventional diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the interventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, or electrophysiology lab areas according to radiology practice standards. Also assists in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned. Provides on call and callback coverage as required.
Required: Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
Preferred: Minimum of 1 year as a radiology technologist. 6 months experience in IR/Cath lab/EP.
Minimum Required: Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT.
Special Skills: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work.
Licensure: Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire; New graduate will obtain required registry within 120 days as required. State license as required.
