Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking an IR technologist to operate imaging devices including x-ray, angiography, cone-beam CT and ultrasound. You will assist the radiologist, prep sterile fields, and manage inventory and EPIC documentation.

The role requires RCIS certification, BCLS, and ACLS/PALS eligibility or achievement within one year, with a minimum of 2 years in interventional radiology preferred. Onsite, full-time day shift with call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• RCIS certification by CCI is required.
• BCLS is required; ACLS and PALS certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant interventional radiology experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or allied health is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical imaging for interventional procedures.
• Assist radiologist during procedures and maintain sterile prep.
• Manage lab inventory and EPIC documentation; supply billing.
• Take call and perform after-hours procedures as needed.
• Promote a positive work environment and act as a resource to the team.
• Ensure care for patients across age groups; physical, psychological and safety needs.
