Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a Part-time Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations under supervision. Responsibilities include interpreting orders, assisting with filling, IV admixtures, unit-dose loading, and ensuring accuracy and safety in medication handling.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician educational program and/or completion of an Associate's Degree preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience, hospital-based pharmacy experience preferred.
• Licensure in the State of Michigan is required.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets physician's medication orders, assists with filling, processing and dispensing of medications, repackages and labels medication with final check by a pharmacist.
• Maintains cleanliness and aseptic technique while following established compounding practices during IV admixtures; adheres to USP 797/800 guidelines.
• Delivers medications to nursing units and automated dispensing cabinets on a scheduled basis.
• Prepares medications and loads into ADC, fills unit dose drawers and replenishes stock according to patient profiles.
• Maintains drug inventory and ensures clean, orderly work areas; assists with inventory rotation and restocking.

Education
