Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking an HVAC technician to inspect, repair and maintain hospital heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems across all building areas. The role requires on-call night shifts and weekend coverage as part of the Facilities Management team.

You will perform routine maintenance, document readings, operate a computerized work order system, and ensure regulatory licenses are held (RI Refrigeration Journeyman, local licenses).

Formación

• Install, troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems in a large hospital.
• One to two years formal training in HVAC or equivalent.
• Requires Providence Stationary Operating License or Refrigeration Operators License and RI Refrigeration Journeyman License.
• Completion of three years accredited Apprenticeship HVAC Program.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect pumps, air-handling units, refrigeration units, and ventilation systems daily.
• Inspect roof top cooling towers across the hospital.
• Perform repairs or notify HVAC Engineer of issues affecting safety.
• Replace belts, pumps, seals, bearings and repair refrigerant systems.
• Record readings of pressures, temperatures, water, steam and electrical data.
• Maintain daily logs and use the work order system for histories.
