The role emphasizes troubleshooting, installation, and preventive maintenance of AHUs, pumps, fans, and related equipment, with readings from blueprints and manuals. A strong foundation in safety and regulatory standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Vocational School or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program from a certified technical school or training program.
• Philadelphia Class A license preferred for Philadelphia hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC equipment including cooling towers, steam systems, and controls.
• Troubleshoots heating and cooling problems including AHUs, fans, pumps, and related equipment.
• Installs components and complete units including motors, belts, compressors, valves, and actuators.
• Reads and follows blueprints, specifications, and owner manuals.
• Inspects and tests HVAC systems for reliability using predictive technologies.
• Performs other maintenance duties as directed by supervisor.
