Job summary

Insight Hospital and Medical Center Chicago is seeking a maintenance mechanic to test, inspect, replace, install and maintain HVAC equipment and related control systems. The role uses building automation and CMMS to manage daily work requests and preventive maintenance, while ensuring confidentiality and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 4–5 years' HVAC experience with trade school certification.
• HVAC knowledge across commercial and residential applications.
• Certificate from vocational school in HVAC or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled AHU preventative maintenance and related tasks.
• Repair and maintain cooling towers, chillers, and water treatment with boiler room staff.
• Enter and close work orders within 48 hours.
• Seasonal snow removal and campus sidewalk salting as necessary.
