Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is seeking an HVAC Technician for Gulf Breeze Hospital on the 1st shift (8:00 am–4:30 pm, Mon–Fri). The role focuses on maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems within a hospital environment, using CMMS and a range of tools.

You will work under the supervision of the facilities management team and contribute to reliable operations. The ideal candidate has 5 years of institutional maintenance experience, HVAC certification preferred, and the ability to

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting.
• HVAC certification or license highly preferred.
• Experience working with blueprints and schematics.
• General understanding of electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor.

Responsibilities

• Update work statuses and document tasks completed in the CMMS via mobile device.
• Assist in coordinating staff, material needs and timelines for jobs.
• Inspect, service, repair and diagnose HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Report major problems to the Manager and assist in problem solving.
• Construct, install and maintain electrical and mechanical systems using tools.
• Review external vendor projects and create punch lists.
• Analyze complex building system issues and electro‑mechanical problems.
• Support project management activities as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and perform emergency repairs.
• Maintain logs, perform rounds and complete PM work orders.
• Suggest modifications to preventive maintenance systems.
• Keep shops and areas clean and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
