Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking an HVAC lead to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital HVAC systems and building components. You will diagnose issues, implement solutions, and ensure the safety and comfort of patients and staff.

The role requires five years of mechanical systems maintenance experience in a medical setting, with licensure or EPA credentials preferred. Familiarity with Siemens BAS and building automation is desirable.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in mechanical systems maintenance/renovation in a large medical center or similar facility.
• Texas Class A/B HVAC license and/or EPA Freon certificate preferred.
• Experience with building automation/energy management systems is desirable.
• High School education or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in HV/AC or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital HVAC equipment and building systems.
• Diagnose problems, propose solutions, and ensure safety, care, and comfort of staff and patients.
• Repair/install air handlers and related building components; maintain work area in an orderly fashion.
• Service and repair building systems (nurse call, tube system, automatic doors, parking gates, ice maker).
• Repair/adjust doors, cabinetry, and flooring as needed.
