Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital in San Antonio is seeking an experienced facilities technician to perform maintenance, repairs and preventative tasks on building systems and equipment. You will manage refrigeration equipment, log service activity, and ensure a safe, compliant environment for patients and staff.

The role requires 5 years in a healthcare setting or 7 years in industry, EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification, and willingness to work on-call.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school in mechanical, electrical or air conditioning preferred.
• 5 years in a hospital or 7 years in an industrial environment.
• EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification and training in HVAC systems.
• EPA Refrigeration License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on hospital buildings, equipment and plant.
• Maintains refrigerators and ice machines; logs work and Freon quantities.
• Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC and hospital equipment as directed.
• Replaces components, fixtures and performs repairs to plumbing and electrical systems.
• Operates on-call duties and documents work in logs and work orders.
