Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston seeks a Supervisor of Operations & Maintenance to lead building systems that support patient care, research, and administration. This onsite role provides technical and administrative leadership to ensure reliable operations and coordinated maintenance across facilities.

Ideal candidates bring extensive HVAC/refrigeration experience in healthcare, strong supervisory skills, and a Texas Commercial HVAC license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years in one or more craft areas with at least three years of lead/supervisory experience.
• Healthcare facility experience and a Texas Commercial HVAC license preferred.
• Experience with CMMS and Windows environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess equipment needs and ensure system reliability.
• Develop preventive maintenance task sheets per OEM and industry best practices.
• Oversee maintenance operations across assigned facilities.
• Lead HVAC/Refrigeration personnel and ensure safety.
• Coordinate budgets, renewals, and contracted work.
