Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking staff to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment, including discharge rooms, patient rooms, operating rooms, and restrooms. Responsibilities include dusting, trash removal, supply replenishment, sanitizing, and floor care.

Proper chemical handling and use of cleaning tools are required, with emphasis on patient, visitor, and staff satisfaction. Prior cleaning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must (after brief training) be able to demonstrate the correct cleaning steps and use of chemicals, tools, equipment and supplies.
• Prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize discharge rooms, patient rooms, operating rooms, ancillary rooms and restrooms.
• Dust, remove trash, replenish supplies, sanitize, spot clean, vacuum and mop floors.
• Mix and use chemicals properly.
• Focus on patient, visitor and employee satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
