Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated cleaner to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, departments and other areas. The role requires following established cleaning procedures and supporting daily operations.

The position involves cleaning patient rooms and common spaces, refilling dispensers, and participating in initiatives to improve patient satisfaction while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and supports departments; cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning, patient room cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning and all ancillary area cleaning.
• Cleans assigned building exteriors.
• Refilling of dispensers and collection of receptacles.
• Completes project work such as wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens and sharps container removal.
• Assists with hospital emergency clean up.
• Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards in chemicals, equipment and in clearly marking hazardous areas.
