Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a hospital cleaning professional to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas. You will ensure daily patient room cleaning, discharge cleaning, and exterior cleaning, while refilling dispensers and removing waste.

The role supports hospital operations and safety. This position requires adherence to HIPAA and safety policies and may involve biohazard handling.

Qualifications

• FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and supports departments; cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning and office cleaning.
• Cleans assigned building exteriors and refills dispensers; collects receptacles as needed.
• Completes project work such as wall washing, trash removal, and biohazardous linens; assists with hospital emergency cleanup.
• Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards in the use of chemicals, equipment and machinery; marks hazardous areas clearly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
