Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a cleaning attendant to maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, offices and departments across its facilities in Pittsburgh, affiliated with Highmark Health. You will perform daily patient room cleaning, discharge cleaning, exterior cleaning, dispenser refills, and support various departments while following safety standards and HIPAA policies.

This role requires the ability to follow instructions, basic reading/writing, and operation of power equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and provides cleaning support to the various departments.
• Cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning, patient room cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning and all ancillary area cleaning to ensure continuity of patient care and daily operations.
• Assists with exterior cleaning, refill of dispensers, and trash/biohazardous waste handling as assigned.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards, HIPAA policies, and participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives.
