Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a dedicated Guest Services team member at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. The role focuses on greeting visitors, answering questions, and guiding guests through the hospital with professionalism.

You will support safety, wayfinding, and patient flow while maintaining a welcoming environment. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week with two 12-hour shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays and two 8-hour weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience in a customer service position, preferably in a medical field.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome visitors, patients, staff and physicians with excellent service.
• Provide information and resources to visitors and patients as needed.
• Obtain authorization before guiding visitors to their destination per protocol.
• Assist with transportation needs and wheelchairs, ensuring timely access to areas.
• Answer questions about tests, directions, and hospital policies; assist with wayfinding.
• Coordinate with departments to address visitor needs and requests.
• Support volunteers and other guests to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming hospital environment.
• Notify departments of maintenance or safety concerns and assist with emergencies if needed.
