Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Environmental Services teammate at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. This full-time role covers 40 hours per week with a 3pm to 11:30pm shift and rotating weekends and holidays.

You will clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas, following department procedures, operating cleaning equipment, and handling chemicals safely to maintain a safe, sanitary hospital environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas by washing surfaces, walls, doors, ceilings, windows, furniture, and equipment.
• Operate cleaning equipment following department procedures.
• Use chemicals and solutions according to department policy.
• Keep work areas orderly, clean and safe.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and rearrangement.
• Restock supplies and collect waste; observe safety and infection-control policies.
• Prepare detergents and germicidal solutions as specified.
