Job summary

Cloverkey is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to cover Store Manager shifts and help run daily operations at our hospital gift shop. You will supervise sales associates, ensure accurate cash handling, manage opening/closing procedures, and maintain store presentation to drive sales.

The role emphasizes accountability, teamwork, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Experience in retail and basic computer skills are preferred, with a focus on inventory

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous Retail experience is preferred (1 year).
Cash handling experience is preferred (1 year).
Basic computer skills; familiarity with POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist the store manager in realizing or exceeding sales plans and target metrics.
Ensure consistent execution of marketing and visual presentation.
Set up displays and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
Train staff on product knowledge and customer service standards.
Maintain inventory controls and assist with shipments as required.
Oversee cash handling and register reconciliation during shifts.
Ensure store security at closing and proper bank deposits as needed.
Keep daily records of sales, scheduling, discounts, and new hire paperwork.
