Job summary

West Oaks Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a dynamic Receptionist to join our team in Houston. The role serves as the primary contact for patients, visitors and employees, handles the switchboard, greets guests, and supports mail distribution and clerical tasks.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications, and prior receptionist experience or healthcare exposure. Flexibility to cover additional shifts is available.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as receptionist desirable.
• Computer knowledge and healthcare experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner by the third ring using a standardized greeting.
• Utilize paging system to page staff and make announcements.
• Provide access to patients, visitors and employees upon entry to Hospital. Greet and assist customers. Ensure proper identification is presented and documentation is completed.
• Assist with clerical duties and projects as needed.
