Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta in Decatur, GA is hiring a Food Service Employee to prepare, heat, finish cooking items and serve residents and staff. The role supports daily food service operations and handles payments and sanitation in a fast-paced setting.

Minimum qualifications include at least six months of experience in a food service department; knowledge of therapeutic diets is desirable. A background check is required by state law for employment with the State of Georgia.

Formación

• At least six months experience working in a food service department (Hospital experience preferred).
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
• Cleans, peels, slices and trims foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
• Conducts or assists with food supply requisitions and sanitation and maintenance inspections
• Observes safety, sanitation and health rules and standards
• Portions food or places it directly on plates for service to facility residents, employees or patrons and packages takeout foods
• Prepares foods
• Receives payment for food items
• Replenishes supplies of food, condiments, and equipment at steam tables and service bars
• Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
• Takes customers’ orders and serves customers
• Unpacks and stores supplies, raw and prepared food products.
