Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist at 11903 Davie Medical Center – Food and Nutrition is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant. The role requires assembling patient meals, delivering trays, and supporting the cafeteria, with attention to safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in hospital food service.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
• Good communication and customer service skills to interact with internal and external customers.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office or similar products.

Responsibilities

• Assembles patient and mobile meal trays per diet guidelines.
• Delivers patient trays to rooms following procedures.
• Operates cashier and handles cash for daily reports when needed.
• Cleans kitchen and cafeteria following sanitation procedures.
• Assists with catering events and daily specials.
• Prepares snacks and beverages per recipes and portions.
• Delivers and stocks supplies to nursing units and lounges.
• Monitors food temperatures to prevent foodborne illness.
