Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Food Service Associate at 11903 Davie Medical Center - Food and Nutrition in North Carolina. You will assemble patient meals, load and deliver trays, and maintain cafeteria service with occasional catering support.

The role requires basic food service knowledge, good communication, and basic computer skills. Shifts vary across 1st, 2nd, and weekends, with a total of 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in food service from within a hospital, hotel, restaurant or a related environment.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
• Good communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office or similar products. Ability to use e-mail and internet.

Responsibilities

• Assembles patient and mobile meal trays per approved diet guidelines and productivity standards.
• Delivers patient meal trays to rooms and transports food carts.
• Operates cash register, handles cash, and completes daily reports as needed.
• Performs cleaning duties using sanitation procedures in kitchen and cafeteria.
