Job summary

Atrium Health's Davie Medical Center – Food and Nutrition department is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker. The role involves assembling patient meals, delivering trays, and maintaining cleanliness across kitchen and cafeteria operations. The schedule includes 1st, 2nd, and weekend shifts with rotating holidays.

Pay ranges from $18.50 to $27.75 per hour, with benefits eligibility. Ideal candidates have basic food service knowledge, strong communication skills, and basic office software

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in hospital/food service environments.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
• Good communication and customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office or similar products.

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient and mobile meal trays according to diet guidelines.
• Load and transport food carts, deliver trays to patient rooms.
• Assist with cafeteria service, operate cash register and complete daily cash reports.
• Perform cleaning duties in kitchen and cafeteria according to sanitation procedures.
• Assist with catering events and display daily specials.
• Prepare snacks, beverages, sandwiches and other patient items.
• Stock and replenish supplies in retail and kitchen areas.
• Deliver and stock trays to nursing units and other departments.
• Monitor temperatures to ensure safe food handling.
