Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. You will lead a team during a shift, oversee training, and ensure food quality, productivity and safety.

Schedule includes Wednesday 12:00 pm–6:50 pm, Thursday and Friday 6:30 am–6:50 pm, and Saturday 5:00 am–6:50 pm. Previous food service experience is required. Salary is $14.00 per hour, with full-time benefits available.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.Perform other duties as assigned.
