We are hiring immediately for a full‑time SHIFT SUPERVISOR position.

Location: Valley Baptist Medical Center, 1040 West Jefferson Street, Brownsville, TX 78520. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time schedule – Wednesday, 12:00 pm to 6:50 pm; Thursday and Friday, 6:30 am to 6:50 pm; Saturday, 5:00 am to 6:50 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous food service experience required.

Fixed Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure are maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate performance of workers, reward high performers and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure unit meets expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
