GBMC HealthCare is seeking a dedicated hospital Housekeeper to support patient care by maintaining a sanitary and orderly environment across departments. Under direct supervision, you will clean, disinfect, and move supplies, ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints and to work effectively as a team member.
• Knowledge of patient and workforce safety as it relates to duties.
• Experience with sanitation and hospital cleaning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assembles cleaning supplies and transports them to the work area.
• Operates buffing and shampooing equipment and mops large floor areas.
• Washes, scrubs and disinfects walls, windows, doors and furniture; removes stains as needed.
• Gathers and transports refuse following sanitation procedures.
• Moves furniture and equipment using dollies and handcarts.
• Cleans spills, windows, discharge rooms, dusts surfaces and curtains.
• Maintains records of cleaning duties performed with locations and times.
• Returns equipment and supplies to storeroom and stores properly.
• Performs meeting or function set ups as required.
