Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a dedicated housekeeping team member to clean and service patient care areas, move furniture and equipment, and maintain sanitary and orderly conditions under direct supervision.

You will follow established policies, perform routine floor care, waste removal, and setup for meetings, while prioritizing patient and workplace safety and teamwork in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.

• Knowledge of patient and workforce safety as it relates to job duties.

Responsibilities

• Assembles cleaning supplies and transports them to the work area as directed.
• Operates cleaning equipment and mops large areas of floors.
• Washes, scrubs and disinfects walls, windows, doors and furniture.
• Moves furniture and equipment using dollies or handcarts.
• Cleans spills, dusts surfaces, and maintains cleanliness of rooms and curtains.
• Maintains records of cleaning duties and time to complete assignments.
• Performs setup for meetings or functions as required.
