GBMC HealthCare is seeking a hospital housekeeping professional to maintain sanitary and orderly patient care areas under direct supervision. The role emphasizes teamwork, courteous patient interaction, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking supplies, preparing solutions, and recording tasks in Interserv. Final salary depends on qualifications and experience, with a pay range of $15.00–$20.00 per hour. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well under time constraints and to work effectively as a team member.
• Ability to courteously greet and exchange information with patients, visitors and staff while performing housekeeping tasks.

Responsabilités

• Assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment; loads utility cart and transports to assigned areas.
• Cleans assigned areas by performing a variety of housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing and polishing; inspects area upon completion.
• Prepares cleaning solutions according to written instructions on label.
• Performs routine discharge room cleaning per established guidelines and timelines; remakes beds with fresh linen as required.
• Notifies team leader of needed maintenance repairs in assigned areas.
• Cleans and stores equipment regularly in porter closet or storage area.
• Logs on and off Interserv per GBMC policy; logs tasks as required.
