Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to uphold critical hospital systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure patient and staff safety and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Healthcare facility maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively test and operate emergency power supply systems and components.
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
• Work independently within assigned time frames under supervisor guidance.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and regulatory standards.
• Plan, interpret, and report daily work progress to supervisor.
