Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to keep our hospital facilities reliable and safe. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems, contributing to patient and staff comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Prev. experience in preventive maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work weekdays/weekends and various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely test and operate building systems and emergency power supply (EPSS) components.
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems.
• Work independently within assigned time frames under supervisor guidance.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and regulatory standards.
• Plan and document work, report daily completion to supervisor.
• Perform general repairs and upkeep across hospital facilities.
