Encompass Health seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support hospital operations by maintaining equipment, utilities, and building systems. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction.
• Healthcare maintenance experience is a plus.
• Licensing in electrical/plumbing/HVAC preferred.
• May work weekdays/weekends, varying shifts; lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely test and operate emergency power supply system (EPSS) and components.
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
• Work independently per task and report progress to supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and regulatory standards.
• Perform building construction, repairs, and equipment overhaul as required.
