Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure facility reliability and safe operations across hospital systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine tasks, contributing to patient, visitor, and staff safety.

Responsibilities include operating EPSS, maintaining electrical/HVAC/plumbing systems, and working independently under supervision while upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Licensing in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively test and operate emergency power supply system (EPSS) and components.
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
• Work independently within assigned time frames under supervisor direction.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and applicable regulatory standards.
• Report daily completion to supervisor and document work.
