Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to help keep hospital facilities safe and reliable. The role involves routine repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety testing of essential building systems and utilities.

You will work closely with the Facilities Engineer and team to address daily maintenance needs, maintain accurate records, and support patient safety. A high school diploma and 2 years of maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of facility maintenance experience preferred; healthcare or hospital experience a plus.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities for timely repairs.

Responsabilités

• Maintain Safe, Reliable Facilities: perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure hospital systems operate safely.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety testing of critical utility systems including generators and alarms.
• Document work activities with accurate records of labor, parts, and test results.
• Collaborate with the Facilities Engineer and team to prioritize and complete tasks independently.
