North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a reliable maintenance technician to perform general repairs across the facility, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems. You will diagnose issues, coordinate with external contractors when needed, and ensure timely responses.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least one year of maintenance experience, with strong communication, critical thinking, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience preferred in general maintenance, electrical, and plumbing
• Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
• Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Must be comfortable with heights.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Provides general repairs as needed.
• Follows safe practices in the use of electricity.
• Diagnose equipment problems and determine if outside contractor is needed.
• Repair and paint wall surfaces.
• Complete mechanical repairs of exhaust motors and pumps.
• Move furniture and equipment throughout the hospital.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals.
• Deliver supplies and provide courier services as needed.
• Drive patients via facility van to nearby facilities.
• Adhere to hospital policies and demonstrate our mission and values.
• Maintain positive working relationships and cooperative environment.
• Follow through on problems using the chain of command.
