Job summary

Under general supervision, you will perform preventive maintenance, interpret blueprints and specifications, and ensure safety standards while keeping diagnostic tools and supplies ready. Minimum 5 years in an institutional environment preferred; valid NC driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade or vocational training is preferred.
• Valid NC driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine means and methods to complete tasks with tools, equipment, and materials.
• Estimate time and manpower for assigned tasks.
• Read and interpret specifications, work orders, and drawings.
• Perform preventive maintenance and suggest improvements.
• Service and maintain equipment such as autoclave, dishwashers, lighting, lifts, and beds.
• Use hand, power and specialized tools and test equipment.
• Observe safety practices and wear safety gear.
• Complete preventive maintenance work orders promptly.
• Participate in staff training and life safety system updates.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas.
