Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a facilities technician to perform and repair a wide range of plant maintenance tasks at a hospital campus. The role covers plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and equipment upkeep to support patient care and operational reliability.

The successful candidate will handle routine work orders, preventative maintenance, and special projects, while adhering to HIPAA and privacy policies and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 200 hours of formal schooling in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
• Preferred 3 years of facility maintenance experience.
• Current state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance requests throughout the facility, including preventive, corrective, emergency, and project work orders.
• Evaluates repair requests and seeks opportunities for improvement.
• Completes special projects and physical plant improvements.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Participates in QA processes.
