Job summary

Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic/Facilities Technician for a full-time role. The position maintains and repairs plant equipment, HVAC, electrical systems, and utilities to support a safe patient environment.

You will work under the Director of Plant Operations, performing preventive maintenance, monitoring refrigeration and boilers, and assisting with mechanical and electrical installations and repairs.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures.
• Current and valid Driver's License required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade or Vocational School background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical and preventive tasks on physical plant equipment.
• Assists with maintenance, monitoring, and preventive maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and hot water systems.
• Maintains and repairs boiler, pumps, valves, piping, and related controls to ensure proper operation.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical controls and motor controls; troubleshoots electrical and mechanical issues.
