Job summary

Dignity Health’s Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, AZ is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to support hospital operations throughout the facility, ensuring a safe and functional environment. You will perform carpentry, painting, plumbing and basic electrical repairs, assist skilled tradesmen, and complete routine preventive maintenance, using power tools as required.

A high school diploma or GED and one year of maintenance experience are required; healthcare experience is

High School diploma or GED required.
One year of experience in one or more trades.
Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains responsibility for the quality of workmanship in all projects and judicious use of materials.
Performs diagnostic and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems.
Performs plumbing tasks, installs new equipment and repairs existing equipment.
Conducts routine preventive maintenance per work orders.
Constructs, repairs, and maintains furniture, partitions, doors, windows, floors and hospital framework using power tools.
Prepares surfaces for painting and applies interior/exterior finishes, using ladders and scaffolds safely.
