Job summary

City of Prescott is seeking a Maintenance Specialist - Facilities to install, maintain, and repair systems across City buildings.

The role covers electric, plumbing, HVAC, and structural work with various duties from roofing to carpentry. A high school diploma plus 3 years in building maintenance is required; HVAC and electrical training is expected. There may be night, weekend, and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years of building maintenance experience.
• Two years of HVAC and electrical training.
• Licenses/certifications such as general contractor, IFMA/CFM/FMP are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate City vehicles and various motorized equipment.
• Maintain water, oil, fluids, and air pressure levels.
• Perform electrical work and wiring repairs.
• Maintain plumbing systems and fix leaks.
• Repair roofs and perform drywall, painting, carpentry, and flooring tasks.
• Check HVAC units and replace filters and belts.
• Assist in cost estimates and keep records of materials.
• Communicate with supervisor about issues.
• May require night/weekend work and on-call duties.
